We are extremely lucky to be welcoming 4 new members of staff to our team at Valerie Manor. After undertaking their mandatory training last week I was pleased to introduce them to the residents at the home this week.

Care Assistant, Fay: I am one of eight Steyning Grammar Students to pass the International Baccalaureate after its first two years of teaching at the school. I now study at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. When I am not working or studying I am playing my piano and challenging myself to some harder pieces of music. Not only am I self motivated I am caring and friendly and love a good chat.
Care Assistant, Ian: I am a fun outgoing person with a love of history and reading, who has finally found his vocation working in the care profession. I have around two and a half years care experience working in various environments including dementia care.
Care Assistant, Kelly: Hello to all. My name is Kelly and I am new to Valerie Manor. I have worked in the care field for a number of years and I am excited about starting my new role within Valerie Manor as a care assistant. Hope to meet you all soon.
Housekeeper, Patricia: My name is Patricia Rolf. I’m 45 and I’m married with 2 girls Gemma 17 and Annie 13. Gemma is a trainee hairdresser so you will get used to my hair changing now and again, Annie is at school and plays for an all girls football team East Preston Devils and is their main goal scorer. Most weekends you will find me rain or shine cheering her on from the touchline. I am very proud of my girls. I am a happy person who likes to have a chat with you when you are about so say hi and I will say hi back.
